A global leader in medical technology is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans that support business growth across Japan. This role combines cross-functional collaboration, commercial acumen, and brand leadership in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing strategies, product launch plans, and initiatives aligned with business goals
- Identify unmet customer needs and translate them into actionable commercial opportunities
- Conduct market segmentation and targeting to optimize customer engagement and commercial results
- Define and manage pricing strategies aligned with brand and market positioning
- Collaborate with sales, medical affairs, and regional/global stakeholders to ensure message consistency and execution
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, adapting strategies and tactics accordingly
- Build and sustain relationships with key industry stakeholders and influencers
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required; an advanced business degree (MBA) is a plus
Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in marketing, sales, or related commercial functions
- Strong record of managing multiple projects and delivering under pressure
Technical & Commercial Skills:
- Strategic planning, pricing, forecasting, and marketing execution
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and cross-functional influence
- Analytical mindset and ability to convert data into actionable insights
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Conversational to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
- Global or regional marketing exposure in a matrix organization
