A global asset management firm is seeking an experienced Institutional Sales professional to support the expansion of its Japan business. This role focuses on developing relationships with domestic institutional investors, particularly financial institutions, and driving new business opportunities.
As the firm continues to build its presence in Japan, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing market entry initiative, working across a broad range of asset classes, from traditional investments to private assets.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead new business development with domestic institutional investors, particularly Japanese financial institutions.
- Utilize existing institutional investor relationships to expand the firm's client base.
- Promote investment solutions across multiple asset classes, including traditional and private assets.
- Work closely with internal global teams to support business development and client engagement strategies.
- Provide market insights and relationship management to strengthen the firm's presence in Japan.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 7+ years of professional experience in the financial services industry.
- Strong existing relationships with major Japanese financial institutions.
- Experience in institutional sales, relationship management, or business development within financial services.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in joining a growing business in Japan.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business level
