In this role, you will oversee core HR functions including payroll, compliance, benefits, health and safety, and HR systems. Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations such as onboarding, resignations, leave, and internal communications.
- Oversee compensation and benefits including salary, bonuses, insurance, pensions, and company housing.
- Handle payroll operations, including PTO tracking, tax processing, and issuing payslips and notifications.
- Ensure compliance with Japanese labor, social insurance, and tax laws, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with global HR teams to implement localized programs and participate in global HR meetings.
- Lead safety and health initiatives such as stress checks, accident reporting, and committee activities.
- Administer HR systems, share folders, and vendor management for outsourced HR services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years in HR operations including payroll, compensation, and benefits.
- 3+ years in health and safety management.
Education:
- University degree or equivalent.
Technical Skills:
- Experience managing and improving HR systems.
- Strong understanding of Japanese labor, tax, pension, and insurance regulations.
Certifications:
- First-class Health Manager certification (第一種衛生管理者).
Soft Skills:
- High attention to detail, adaptability, and process improvement mindset.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business-level proficiency
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in global HR functions or within multinational companies.
- Familiarity with digital HR tools and modern system improvement practices.
