Are you an experienced Network Security Engineer with expertise in SASE, Zero Trust, and Next-Generation Firewalls? We are seeking a bilingual Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise network security architecture for one of Japan's fastest-growing technology organisations.
Based in Tokyo, you'll take ownership of mission-critical network security infrastructure, working with technologies including Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto, and Fortinet. Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network security infrastructure using Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto, and Fortinet technologies.
- Lead the architecture, operation, and continuous improvement of Japan's network security environment while aligning with global security standards.
- Implement and maintain Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), network security policies, and access control frameworks.
- Monitor, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network security incidents while continuously improving the organisation's security posture.
- Prepare for security audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain technical documentation and security reports.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across network security initiatives.
- Collaborate with global infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to deliver regional and enterprise-wide security projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Network Engineering, or Enterprise Networking, including 5+ years specialising in network and cloud security.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts including routing, switching, and network architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls, particularly Palo Alto and Fortinet.
- Expertise with SASE platforms including Zscaler and/or Netskope.
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) architecture and enterprise security best practices.
- Experience designing and supporting large-scale enterprise network security environments.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities in multicultural environments.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience within technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high security standards.

Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Intermediate to Business Level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Experience working in multinational or global enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid cloud security architectures.
- Experience supporting security audits and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with security automation and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
