As a FinTech Project Manager, you will lead complex, database-focused projects that underpin mission-critical payment platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage detailed project plans covering timelines, deliverables, resources, and budgets
- Track progress, identify risks early, and escalate issues with clear and structured reporting
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution and on-time delivery
- Resolve blockers quickly and keep initiatives moving in changing conditions
- Strengthen communication between engineers, managers, and business stakeholders
- Maintain high-quality documentation including project plans, status reports, and meeting records
- Continuously improve project management practices using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of project management experience, including at least 1 year on database or infrastructure-related projects
- Solid foundational understanding of databases, particularly MySQL environments
- Proven ability to manage schedules, resources, and progress across multiple parallel projects
- Advanced proficiency with project and task management tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, and Confluence
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
- Proactive, positive mindset with strong motivation to learn
- Strong stakeholder communication and relationship management skills
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Intermediate to Business level (TOEIC 800+ equivalent)
