A leading global investment bank is seeking an experienced Japanese Equity Sales Trader at VP to Director level to join its Tokyo office. This front-office position focuses on Japanese Equities Cash and Swap products, working closely with institutional clients and internal trading teams in a highly dynamic global markets environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-touch sales trading activities across Japanese equity cash and swap products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors and key market participants.
- Provide market insights, trade execution support, and liquidity solutions to clients.
- Collaborate closely with sales, trading, research, and global markets teams.
- Monitor market developments and support trading strategies within the equities business.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to revenue growth and client coverage initiatives within the Japanese equities franchise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Japanese Equity Trader or Sales Trader experience within an investment bank in Japan.
- Strong experience covering Japanese equity cash and swap products.
- Proven experience working within front-office global markets or equities trading environments.
- Strong understanding of Japanese equity markets and institutional client flow business.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong ability to work within fast-paced and high-pressure trading floor environments.
- Strong analytical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with local and international stakeholders.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level fluency (written and spoken).
- English: Business level proficiency.
