In this senior Equity Business Control role, you will oversee governance, internal control, and policy management across the equities business within a global financial institution. Acting as the central coordinator for control activities, you will ensure policy adherence, escalate risks, and drive initiatives to strengthen the internal control framework. This position offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration, governance strategy, and risk oversight within a highly regulated market environment.
Act as the primary coordinator for internal control activities within the equities business and ensure adherence to governance standards.
Develop, update, and communicate division-level policies aligned with firm-wide rules and procedures.
Monitor control status across teams, prepare periodic reports, and escalate issues when necessary.
Collaborate with Global Markets control owners to resolve governance challenges and maintain alignment across departments.
Design and execute inspection plans for information asset management, including periodic checks and follow-up remediation.
Lead initiatives to strengthen internal control frameworks through process optimization, documentation improvements, and guideline enhancements.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in internal control, compliance supervision, or governance oversight.
Experience coordinating with multiple departments on regulatory, procedural, or policy-related matters.
Experience preparing reports or documentation for management, audit teams, or regulators.
Experience monitoring internal rule adherence and escalating control risks when necessary.
Experience working in a regulated financial environment requiring policy discipline and risk awareness.
Strong communication skills to negotiate priorities and explain governance expectations clearly.
Ability to work independently with strong ownership and accountability.
