A leading Global Investment Bank is seeking a DCM Associate to join its Capital Markets Front Office team in Tokyo. This is a high-impact role focused on the execution of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions and coverage of Japan-based institutional clients.
You will work closely with senior bankers and institutional investors, contributing to the origination and execution of bond issuances and other debt financing solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Execute DCM mandates, including bond issuances and related debt financing transactions
- Support origination and structuring of debt capital markets solutions for institutional clients
- Cover and maintain relationships with Japan-based institutional investors
- Prepare transaction materials, pitch books, and market updates for clients
- Coordinate with internal teams including syndicate, sales, legal, and compliance to ensure smooth deal execution
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of DCM experience within an Investment Bank in Japan
- Proven experience supporting debt capital markets transactions and institutional client coverage
- Strong understanding of capital markets products and transaction processes
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced front office environments
- High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level (written and spoken)
- English: Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with global institutional clients
- Strong financial modeling and presentation skills
