A leading global Healthcare and Medical Device organization is seeking a Commercial Operations Senior Specialist to support commercial excellence, sales force effectiveness, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making across Japan.
This role sits at the intersection of Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Business Intelligence, CRM, Salesforce, and Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE). You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and global stakeholders to transform complex commercial data into actionable insights that drive business growth and operational excellence.
The position offers a unique opportunity to work with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Power BI, Cognos, Oracle, and E-Commerce systems while influencing strategic commercial decisions within a highly collaborative international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs teams to deliver actionable commercial insights and performance analysis.
- Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI and other analytics tools.
- Support the organization's transition toward a unified reporting and analytics platform.
- Manage Salesforce (SFDC) operations, user administration, and master data governance.
- Maintain customer, territory, product, pricing, and sales assignment master data.
- Conduct sales performance analysis and support Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) initiatives.
- Drive territory alignment, incentive compensation analysis, and commercial performance optimization projects.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and lead data integration initiatives across multiple business systems.
- Collaborate with regional and global IT teams to resolve system issues and improve data quality.
- Support system enhancements, commercial operations projects, and new product launch activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 7-10+ years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Business Analytics, Commercial Excellence, or Financial Analytics.
- Strong experience working with Business Intelligence platforms such as Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting CRM and ERP systems, including Salesforce and related commercial platforms.
- Strong understanding of sales operations processes, order management, customer data management, and commercial workflows.
- Experience analyzing complex business data and providing strategic recommendations.
- Understanding of IT governance, data management, compliance, and information security principles.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities across local, regional, and global teams.
- Logical and analytical thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective presentation and storytelling skills using data and insights.

- Japanese: Business level or above.
- English: Business level or above.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
- Experience leading Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) initiatives.
- Knowledge of territory design, sales incentive planning, and commercial performance management.
- Experience working with Oracle, Salesforce, Cognos, Tableau, or Power BI ecosystems.
- Experience supporting global or regional commercial operations projects.
- Familiarity with data integration, reporting automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
