A fast-growing global travel platform is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead supplier-side partnerships for chauffeured vehicle services across Japan and Korea. You will play a central role in launching and scaling a new ground transportation product line by sourcing, managing, and growing a high-quality supplier network. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with strong cross-border collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and contract chartered vehicle suppliers across Japan (and Korea) for airport transfers, tours, and custom services
- Build and maintain a national supplier network to support seasonal peaks and campaigns
- Ensure fulfillment and service quality by resolving issues and driving continuous improvement
- Collaborate with global HQ and internal teams on strategy, product alignment, and operations
- Travel throughout Japan and to regional offices for onboarding, vendor meetings, and emergency support
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years in travel, transport, DMCs, or supplier-facing roles
- Proven ability to negotiate, manage vendor relationships, and execute contracts
- Strong knowledge of Japan's transportation service laws and regional travel operations preferred
- Self-starter able to work across cultures and time zones with limited supervision
- Detail-oriented with data-driven decision-making and strong execution skills
- Willing and able to travel frequently across Japan
Language Requirements
- Chinese: Native-level fluency
- Japanese: Business-level proficiency
- English: Conversational
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience launching or scaling new products or services in travel or logistics
- Familiarity with regional operational needs and customer behavior in Japan and Korea
- Ability to balance on-ground urgency with strategic planning
