As an AD/ADAS Embedded Software Engineer, you will collaborate with international teams, development partners, and research institutions to design, implement, and test autonomous driving and driver assistance systems. Key Responsibilities
- Develop lane and object recognition algorithms for autonomous driving systems
- Design and implement software architecture for AD/ADAS applications
- Embed, debug, and test software on actual ECUs with in-vehicle validation
- Work with C, C++, and Python in real-world embedded environments
- Utilize middleware (ROS, DDS) and operating systems (QNX, Linux)
- Deploy and manage development in cloud-based environments (AWS, Docker, Git)
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years in embedded software implementation within AD/ADAS or robotics
- Hands-on experience with recognition algorithms (lane, object, environment recognition)
- Experience with dynamic object detection using cameras, LiDAR, or other sensors
- Development and implementation of tracking algorithms
Technical Skills:
- Experience in mass-production embedded software development for AD/ADAS
- Proficiency in ECU-based memory optimization and process/thread allocation
- Background in software testing, ASIL compliance, and Automotive SPICE Level 2+ development
Soft Skills:
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native level (required)
- English: Basic to business level (preferred for collaboration)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with vehicle-based testing and validation of AD/ADAS functions
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in CI/CD environment setup and operations
