Join a leading semiconductor manufacturing company in Mie, Japan as a Semiconductor Facilities Engineer, taking responsibility for the engineering, construction, safety and operational management of chemical infrastructure within a large-scale semiconductor fabrication facility.
This role focuses on automated chemical supply and recovery systems, piping, instrumentation and cleanroom facility infrastructure. You will lead engineering projects covering facility design, construction management, technical development and continuous improvement to support safe and reliable semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Engineer and manage chemical facilities and equipment within a semiconductor manufacturing plant, including automated chemical supply and recovery systems.
- Design and manage piping, instrumentation and associated infrastructure supporting chemical operations.
- Lead research and development initiatives for technologies related to chemical infrastructure within semiconductor fabs.
- Oversee construction management, technical development and safety engineering for plant chemical equipment.
- Execute engineering design and continuous technical improvements for cleanroom and manufacturing facility infrastructure.
- Identify technical and operational issues and implement improvements that enhance facility safety, reliability and performance.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and relevant technical teams throughout engineering and construction projects.
- Take ownership of facility engineering projects from technical planning through implementation and operational support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Over 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Practical engineering experience involving the management, technical development, design or construction of chemical facilities or chemical equipment.
- Experience supporting engineering projects involving industrial plant or facility infrastructure.
- Technical College (KOSEN) qualification or higher.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently as a facility engineer and take ownership of technical development and construction management activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive continuous process and facility improvements.
- Effective technical communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to manage engineering responsibilities reliably while working within a structured manufacturing environment.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Fluent
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders in an engineering and manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Conversational Chinese language proficiency.
- Experience managing, designing or engineering factory and cleanroom facility equipment.
- Engineering experience involving high-pressure gas facilities, ultrapure water systems or wastewater treatment plants.
- Professional certification such as High Pressure Gas Production Safety Manager or Pollution Control Manager.
- Experience supporting facility engineering within semiconductor or other advanced manufacturing environments.
