Job Description

Trade support analyst role in middle office operations at a top multinational bank, based in Tokyo.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Capture trade in the risk management system for OTC Derivatives and Cash Equities that are conducted in Tokyo.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the entries in the risk management system.
  • Be on the lookout for control breaks.
  • Ensure and report on compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Clarify issues raised by internal teams regarding equity derivative products.
  • Play an active role in formulating, analysing, and managing projects related to, but not limited to E2E reviews, efficiency, new business initiatives in both regional and global markets.

Required skills

  • Experience working in the financial sector, and a desire to learn more about sophisticated financial products.
  • Comfortable communicating in both Japanese and English in a business environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding stakeholders and clients.

Preferred skills

  • Extensive knowledge of Equity Derivative products and experience working with them.
  • Experience working in the middle office, preferably in international financial institutions.

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to think on the feet and make quick and effective decisions.
