The Opportunity
This is a key opportunity within a global financial services organisation's Group Finance function, sitting within a specialist Sustainability Reporting team responsible for delivering the organisation's ESG, climate, and sustainability reporting agenda across a rapidly evolving global regulatory landscape.
The team plays a central role in shaping how the organisation measures, governs, and communicates its sustainability performance and climate impact, ensuring reporting is robust, auditable, and aligned to emerging global standards.
While the role has a strong focus on financed emissions reporting, it also sits within a broader ESG reporting and sustainability disclosure capability spanning climate-related financial disclosures, ESG metrics, and enterprise-wide sustainability reporting initiatives.
This is a highly visible role at the intersection of financial reporting, ESG disclosure, and strategic sustainability transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the organisation's financed emissions reporting capability, including methodology application and ongoing enhancement
- Support broader ESG and sustainability reporting across climate, environmental, social, and governance metrics
- Develop and enhance reporting frameworks aligned to evolving standards and expectations (e.g. climate disclosures and ESG regulatory requirements)
- Partner with Finance, Risk, and business stakeholders to embed ESG reporting into broader financial and management reporting processes
- Contribute to strategic sustainability reporting initiatives, including uplift of reporting capability, data quality, and governance frameworks
- Drive process improvement, transformation, and automation initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and integrity
- Monitor and interpret developments in global ESG regulation, climate disclosure frameworks, and industry best practice
