Integration Engineer
Salary: $140,000 package (including super)

Position Purpose
The Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting robust integration solutions that enable seamless interoperability between systems, applications, and data sources across the organisation.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role ensures accurate, secure, and near real-time data exchange, contributing to scalable and high-performing digital platforms.
About the Environment
You will join a large, complex enterprise technology environment supporting core business operations, digital services, and research capabilities.
The technology function operates using Agile and SAFe methodologies, with squads aligned to platforms and products. This role plays a key part in delivering integration capabilities that enable enterprise-wide connectivity and innovation.
You'll work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, actively contributing to agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, while helping foster a high-performing and delivery-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions across multiple systems and platforms
- Build and maintain APIs, event-driven integrations, and data pipelines
- Configure and support middleware and integration platforms
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and real-time synchronisation across systems
- Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of integration solutions
- Monitor and optimise integration performance and reliability
- Maintain clear and detailed technical documentation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand integration requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
- Engage with external vendors and technology partners where required
- Ensure all solutions align with cybersecurity and data privacy standards
- Provide support for production issues and participate in on-call or after-hours activities when required
- Continuously improve integration patterns, standards, and practices

Skills & Experience Required
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience delivering integration solutions in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience with integration tools and platforms (e.g. Boomi AtomSphere)
- Experience with AWS services, including APIs, microservices, and data streaming
- Solid understanding of API design, middleware, and integration patterns
- Experience working within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices and secure integration design
- Experience ensuring data integrity, performance, and reliability across systems
