A leading global Corporate & Investment Bank is seeking an experienced Vice President Relationship Manager to manage and expand relationships with major Japanese corporate clients.
This is a high-impact client-facing role where you will drive new business origination, deliver strategic financing solutions, and partner with product specialists across Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Capital Markets, Treasury, and Risk Management. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of large Japanese corporate clients.
- Act as a trusted advisor to CFOs, Treasurers, and senior corporate stakeholders.
- Originate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth across lending, transaction banking, capital markets, and risk management solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic client coverage plans in partnership with product specialists and international banking teams.
- Lead client engagement activities and identify opportunities to deepen relationships and increase wallet share.
- Coordinate financing and investment banking transactions across multiple business lines.
- Monitor client performance, credit quality, and portfolio risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver integrated banking solutions.
- Support cross-border transactions and global client initiatives.
- Maintain strong governance, compliance, and risk management standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Global Banking, Relationship Management, or Corporate Coverage.
- Proven track record managing relationships with large Japanese corporations and multinational clients.
- Strong experience in business origination and revenue generation.
- Experience executing financing transactions and coordinating across multiple product teams.
- Solid understanding of corporate finance, credit analysis, transaction banking, capital markets, and risk management solutions.
- Experience building long-term relationships with senior corporate executives.
- Experience working within international banking environments.
