Roles/Responsibilities
- Analyze complex software data to generate actionable insights and solutions.
- Contribute to the development of new products, services, or technologies, utilizing expertise in multiple programming languages.
- Design and implement scalable engineering solutions across multiple products and high user volumes.
- Integrate and optimize diverse hardware and software systems.
- Perform task breakdowns, debug applications, and ensure code quality through defensible coding practices and object-oriented design.
- Create project plans for smaller initiatives while adhering to SPGI's agile framework and standard tools.
Required skills
- 5+ years of experience in Agile application development.
- Proficient in Java and C# (5+ years each) programming languages, along with related frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and strong knowledge of DevOps concepts.
- Skilled in TypeScript and advanced SQL, including joins and subqueries for data extraction.
- Basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English (verbal and written).
Preferred skills
- 3+ years of experience leading small software development teams and supporting agile development processes.
- Experience in database administration and design or code refactoring.
- Skilled in end-to-end application development and system design using modern frameworks and methodologies.
