QA Automation Engineer - Microservices - API Testing | Tokyo

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test frameworks for microservices using Java
• Conduct REST API testing to validate reliability and performance
• Collaborate with developers and product managers on test strategies and acceptance criteria
• Analyze test results, identify bugs, and manage resolution timelines
• Contribute to CI/CD test pipelines for continuous software delivery

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in software test automation
• Hands-on experience with REST API validation and performance testing

Technical Skills:

• Java programming for test development
• Testing microservices in distributed architectures

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills in multicultural environments

Language Requirements

• Japanese: Conversational
• English: Intermediate to Business level

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency with Postman, JUnit, TestNG, REST Assured
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes in testing environments
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
• ISTQB or similar certification is a plus
