A leading global investment bank is seeking a Sales Trader (Associate to VP level) to join its front-office team in Tokyo. This role focuses on High Touch Sales Trading of Japanese Equities (Cash + Swap), covering offshore international financial institutions. You will collaborate with a global client base and play a key role in delivering trading services that meet client needs in dynamic global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute High Touch Sales Trading for Japanese equities, including both cash and swap products.
- Manage and expand relationships with offshore-based international financial institutions.
- Provide market insights, trade ideas, and execution strategies tailored to client requirements.
- Collaborate with internal trading desks and research teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Ensure accurate and timely execution while maintaining compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Japanese Equities High Touch Sales Trader within an investment bank in Japan.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of Japanese equities markets, cash, and swap trading.
Soft Skills:
- Proven relationship management skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure.
Language Requirements
- English: Native-level fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Japanese: Business-level proficiency.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Strong international client coverage experience, particularly with offshore institutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing Japanese equities trading.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced global trading environments.
