Join a long-established European financial group as part of its Regional Control Management team, supporting APAC-wide governance, operational resilience, and risk management standards. In this strategic role, you will enhance non-financial risk frameworks, oversee control remediation activities, and strengthen business continuity and outsourcing governance. You will work closely with senior leaders, auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of risk requirements and support the region's overall resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the enhancement and oversight of non-financial risk frameworks to strengthen operational resilience across APAC.
- Drive control improvement initiatives and monitor remediation progress to maintain alignment with internal policies.
- Coordinate business continuity planning, third-party oversight, and outsourcing governance.
- Identify control gaps, track remediation milestones, and escalate critical issues to senior management.
- Collaborate with audit partners to prepare and manage internal audit activities and follow-up actions.
- Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent application of risk and governance standards.
- Advise local management on emerging risks and support timely fulfillment of governance obligations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience in business management, first-line risk, business continuity, or operational control functions.
- Familiarity with the three-lines-of-defence risk model in financial services.
- Background in financial markets operations, ideally including clearing or post-trade.
- Ability to assess complex risk issues and propose structured solutions.
- Strong bilingual capability in Japanese and English, both written and verbal.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to build consensus and influence across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with high attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Proactive mindset focused on quality improvement and efficiency.

Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Fluent.
