Roles/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business teams to understand and document requirements for system developments, ensuring alignment with goals like client acquisition, efficiency improvement, or competitive differentiation. Clearly communicate needs to development teams or propose alternative solutions.
- Prioritize feature backlogs, create user stories and workflows, define acceptance criteria, and ensure timely delivery of features with the development team.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps based on business objectives, customer needs, and market research, working iteratively with the development team to deliver value.
- Facilitate cross-team communication by leading meetings, creating detailed documentation, and maintaining resources like workflows, wikis, and release notes.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for local products, integrate global solutions, and provide support for product planning and implementation in Japan.
Required skills
- Over 5 years of experience in product ownership and/or IT project management, software engineering, systems integration.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and incorporate diverse inputs effectively.
- Strong organizational, planning, and attention-to-detail abilities, ensuring high-quality outcomes in dynamic environments.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to tackle complex product challenges and drive solutions.
- Self-driven learner with intellectual curiosity, adaptability to changing priorities, and resilience in ambiguous or fast-paced conditions.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in agile, team-oriented settings.
- Must have native level Japanese and minimum business level English.

Preferred skills
- Prior experience as a Product Manager, including expertise in creating user persona and defining user acceptance criteria.
- Hands-on experience with software development using agile methodologies like SCRUM.
