A leading global consulting firm is seeking experienced professionals to join its Post-Merger Integration (PMI) and Carve-Out Advisory practice in Tokyo. This role focuses on the execution phase of M&A transactions, supporting clients from integration planning through to operational implementation.
You will lead and support complex PMI and separation projects, working across finance, HR, IT, and operations to deliver strategic value and drive synergy realization. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your expertise in transaction execution within a global advisory platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution support for PMI and separation (carve-out) engagements
- Conduct integration and carve-out due diligence, analyzing risks and synergy opportunities
- Support the design and implementation of Target Operating Models aligned with strategic objectives
- Assist in TSA (Transitional Service Agreement) planning and negotiation to ensure smooth transitions
- Manage cross-functional workstreams across Finance, HR, IT, and Operations
- Monitor integration progress and support execution of synergy realization initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in M&A, PMI, restructuring, or transaction-related advisory
- Practical experience managing cross-functional projects
- Fundamental understanding of financial statement analysis and business plan evaluation
- Hands-on experience supporting integration or separation engagements
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills for analysis and executive presentation preparation
Soft Skills:
- Demonstrated leadership capability
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High ownership mindset and proactive attitude
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native-level fluency required
- English: Business-level proficiency required
