A major global financial group is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Executive Director to strengthen enterprise-wide resilience across its Japan operations.

You will lead resilience strategy and execution, enhance BCM and third-party risk frameworks, and support regulatory alignment in a highly visible position close to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational resilience initiatives end-to-end, from strategy development through execution as a core member of the resilience team.
- Drive enterprise-wide enhancement of BCM/BCP frameworks or third-party risk management across business units.
- Act as a second-line function by monitoring, reviewing, and challenging first-line risk management activities.
- Track and respond quickly to domestic and international regulatory developments, implementing resilience requirements efficiently.
- Collaborate with global and local stakeholders to strengthen organizational capabilities through training, governance, and management support.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in BCP/BCM or third-party risk management within a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of operational resilience frameworks and risk governance in banking or securities environments.
- Must hold a Type 1 Securities Sales Representative Qualification (一種証券外務員資格).
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence multiple departments.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in global governance frameworks and regulatory-driven risk programs.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments across Japan and overseas offices.
