A global leader in the medical devices industry is seeking a Junior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support its human resources operations and people strategy in Tokyo.
In this role, you will collaborate with business leaders, managers, and employees to implement effective HR strategies, employee engagement initiatives, talent development programs, and organizational change management activities.
You will also support employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and HR data management while helping build a positive, productive, and inclusive workplace.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of HR strategies and people initiatives that improve employee motivation, engagement, and organizational performance.
- Manage employee relations (ER) matters, including workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and employee concerns.
- Provide practical HR advice and solutions to managers and employees.
- Prepare and facilitate talent development and learning programs for managers and employees.
- Proactively design and deliver employee engagement initiatives to strengthen workplace culture.
- Support organizational transformation and change management activities.
- Partner with recruitment teams to support candidate interviews, assessments, and selection processes.
- Coordinate and deliver onboarding programs for new employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support HR data management.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify workforce challenges and implement effective people solutions.
- Support HR processes and initiatives in alignment with Japanese labor laws and internal company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional HR experience, preferably across multiple human resources functions.
- Practical experience in Employee Relations (ER), including workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
- Experience advising or influencing business leaders on HR matters and organizational change.
- Experience across HR functions such as Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits (C&B), Payroll, Learning & Development (L&D), or Organizational Development (OD).
- Working knowledge of Japanese labor laws and employment regulations.
- Bachelor's degree.

- Previous experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or Employee Relations Specialist.
- Experience working in a multinational or global organization.
- Experience in the medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience supporting organizational transformation or change management initiatives.
- Experience designing or delivering employee engagement and talent development programs.
- Exposure to multiple HR functions, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, and learning and development.
- Experience collaborating with international HR teams and business stakeholders.
