Join a leading global pharmaceutical company as an IT Manager overseeing IT operations in Japan. This role combines hands-on technical support, vendor and project management, and IT infrastructure oversight, while aligning local systems with global IT standards. You will play a key role in ensuring stability, compliance, and driving improvements across IT services that support a growing business in Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line end-user support for PCs, iPads, iPhones, VPN, printers, and collaboration tools.
- Manage local IT tickets and escalations to ensure timely resolution.
- Oversee IT setup, access, and compliance during onboarding and offboarding.
- Administer Microsoft 365 tools and manage devices/mobile platforms (Intune, Apple Business Manager).
- Maintain and troubleshoot local IT infrastructure, networking, and security systems.
- Support global IT initiatives including SAP rollout, CRM enhancements, and infrastructure projects.
- Manage vendors for hardware, maintenance, and services; coordinate proposals and service levels with global IT and Finance teams.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and adherence to global IT security and data protection standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-5 years in IT support, administration, or IT operations.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and mobile device management.
Professional Skills:
- Experience supporting end-users in corporate environments; vendor management and stakeholder communication skills.
Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity and data protection principles.
Certifications:
- Microsoft, networking, or ITIL certifications are a plus.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native (required).
- English: Intermediate to business-level proficiency (written and spoken).
