A leading global e-commerce organization is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support business leaders and drive people strategy across the Japan organization.
This role offers a unique opportunity to combine HR Business Partnering, Organizational Design, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Workforce Planning, and Leadership Coaching within a highly collaborative and people-focused environment. Acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders, you will play a key role in shaping organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for a designated business unit or local site.
- Partner with managers and business leaders to align people strategies with business objectives.
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead and support talent lifecycle processes including performance reviews, succession planning, and talent development.
- Drive organizational design and workforce planning initiatives.
- Support employee relations matters and collaborate with corporate HR teams when escalation is required.
- Assist managers with recruitment strategies, internal mobility, and workforce planning decisions.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture programs.
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Total Rewards.
- Support employee forums, business improvement groups, and other people-focused initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, or related fields.
- Strong HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
- Experience advising and influencing stakeholders up to Director level.
- Experience supporting talent management, organizational design, and employee relations initiatives.
- Experience operating within a complex or matrixed organization.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.

- Ability to establish credibility and influence senior leaders.

- Knowledge of organizational design and workforce planning methodologies.
- Experience supporting hybrid or remote workforce engagement initiatives.
- Exposure to large-scale recruitment or seasonal workforce planning.
