A global leader in B2B travel solutions is seeking a commercially driven Head of Sales to accelerate growth in Japan. This high-impact role involves enterprise client acquisition, local team leadership, and ownership of revenue and strategy. You'll shape the market presence of an established travel tech innovator while collaborating closely with regional and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Japan's B2B commercial strategy, focusing on acquiring large domestic and multinational enterprise clients
- Own the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
- Drive national revenue growth and manage the Japan P&L
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing local sales team
- Cultivate lasting relationships with HR, procurement, and admin teams
- Align with global and regional leadership to execute cohesive strategies
- Monitor market trends, client feedback, and competitive activity to refine local approach
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5-8+ years in B2B direct sales, preferably in business travel, mobility, or related services (SaaS/B2B tech welcome)
- Proven success closing large enterprise deals in Japan
- Experience managing key accounts and contributing to sales strategy
- Hands-on approach to outbound sales and new business acquisition
Soft Skills:
- Leadership mindset with the ability to grow and inspire commercial teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management in cross-cultural settings
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native
- English: Intermediate to Business Level
