A leading global insurance and risk advisory firm is seeking a Head of Operations to lead strategic transformation in its Japan Operations & Technology division. This executive role offers the opportunity to shape the future operating model, drive performance improvements, and lead a large-scale team across core business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership to develop a centralized operations model and execute future-state strategies
- Lead critical initiatives to improve operational performance across multiple business units
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of over 80 employees and contractors
- Translate business strategy into scalable processes and workflows
- Monitor industry trends to maintain a competitive, agile operating environment
- Define and oversee performance metrics (SLAs, KPIs) to ensure service quality and accountability
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in operations or technology leadership, preferably in insurance or financial services
- Proven track record in business transformation and aligning operations with corporate strategy
- Comfortable navigating complex, matrixed organizations
Technical/Functional Skills:
- Expertise in leveraging technology to streamline operational processes
- Familiarity with vendor management and service agreements
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Effective project management and business process optimization experience
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Business-level proficiency
