Head of Operations

Roles/Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and mitigate operational risks.
• Oversee all daily operations, including trade settlement, reconciliation, cash management, control, client services, etc...
• Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, optimize systems, and implement best practices.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, regulators, vendors, and counterparties.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, analyzing trends and identifying opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
• Act as a subject matter expert on operational matters, providing guidance to business heads.

Required skills

• Established track record, leading operational teams within investment or corporate banking.
• Deep knowledge of financial products, markets, and regulatory requirements, particularly in Japan.
• Fluency in English and Japanese
