A leading institutional-focused electronic trading firm is seeking a senior Head of Finance to oversee financial reporting, audit coordination, and finance transformation initiatives across multiple APAC legal entities. This executive-level role offers the opportunity to strengthen governance, enhance financial controls, and partner closely with regional and global teams in a highly regulated, fast-evolving investment banking and digital asset environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare internal financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate monthly and annual close across multiple APAC entities.
- Coordinate annual external audits, acting as the primary contact for auditors and ensuring statutory compliance.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and consistency across regional and global processes.
- Partner with technical accounting teams to implement new standards and ensure consistent application of IFRS and local Japanese GAAP.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen financial controls and operational effectiveness.
- Support ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives by providing strategic financial insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in financial control or accounting, including audit coordination and transformation projects.
- Experience working in multinational or multi-entity environments, preferably within financial services or investment banking.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory requirements, and compliance-driven operations.
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial statement preparation experience.
Soft Skills:
- Proactive and highly detail-oriented approach to financial governance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across business and finance teams.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive improvements independently.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Experience supporting finance functions within electronic trading, digital assets, or institutional investment platforms.
- Strong audit management and regulatory compliance exposure.
