This is an exciting opportunity for a bilingual Haken Data Analyst to join a major Japanese retail and e-commerce company as a foundational member of a new data team. You will gain hands-on experience supporting data platform construction, working closely with stakeholders to transform business questions into data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and process large datasets to ensure high-quality analysis-ready data.
- Analyze business and customer data to uncover insights that support growth and performance improvement.
- Build clear dashboards and reports, communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support data governance initiatives and improve the reliability and usability of the data ecosystem.
- Collaborate across teams to translate business needs into actionable analytics and reporting solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Strong SQL skills for data querying, extraction, and analysis (required)
- Python experience for data manipulation and analysis (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, etc.)
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Looker, Superset, or equivalent BI tools
- Solid understanding of statistics (hypothesis testing, regression, clustering, etc.)
- Familiarity with big data technologies, machine learning concepts, and cloud platforms such as GCP
Soft Skills:
- Excellent logical thinking, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain insights clearly to non-technical audiences
- High attention to detail, strong responsibility, and a collaborative team mindset
- Strong curiosity and ability to learn new skills quickly
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into analytical questions
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Intermediate to Business level
