In this role, you will manage end-to-end migration initiatives involving GCP, Cloud SQL, hybrid cloud and multi-cloud infrastructure. You will bridge technical engineering teams and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into clear project plans while ensuring successful delivery of high-availability infrastructure supporting millions of users.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced IT Project Manager looking to work on enterprise-scale cloud migration, database modernisation and infrastructure transformation projects within an international environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end cloud and database migration projects, covering project initiation, planning, execution, risk mitigation and successful closure.
- Coordinate closely with database engineers and technical teams to deliver robust hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, including migrations from on-premises environments to GCP Cloud SQL.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, translating complex business and technical requirements into actionable project tasks, specifications and milestones.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including master schedules, project status reports, risk logs and key decision records.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, priorities and timelines to support reliable delivery throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Improve internal project management processes and standards while ensuring compliance with established security and operational guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of proven IT Project Management experience across full project lifecycles.
- Experience leading project teams of approximately 10-20 members.
- Proven ability to define requirements and translate user and business needs into structured technical project specifications.
- Strong project planning, progress tracking, risk management and reporting experience.
- Proficiency with project management and documentation tools, including Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience collaborating with technical or engineering teams on complex IT projects.
- Must currently reside in Japan with valid work authorisation.
Soft Skills:
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively between business and technical teams.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities when managing complex projects, risks and dependencies.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain alignment across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills suited to an international and bilingual working environment.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Business level.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience managing cloud migration, infrastructure migration or database modernisation projects.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Cloud SQL environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
- Experience working with database engineers, infrastructure specialists or cloud engineering teams.
- Experience delivering high-availability infrastructure within large-scale digital, e-commerce or technology environments.
