Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams throughout the complete mobile software development lifecycle.
- Develop scalable applications using MVVM with Clean Architecture and integrate backend services through RESTful APIs using Retrofit.
- Write comprehensive unit tests, conduct peer code reviews, and continuously improve application quality, performance, and reliability.
- Work closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver innovative mobile features that enhance the user experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of software development experience, including extensive hands-on Android application development.
- Proven experience publishing at least one original Android application on the Google Play Store.
- Strong experience with Android SDK, Kotlin, Git, Retrofit, third-party libraries, and backend API integration.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to application quality and performance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities while working independently.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Basic level
- English: Intermediate to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with cloud messaging APIs, push notifications, and Android design principles.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance.
- Previous experience in project management or technical team leadership.
