As the senior executive leading business strategy, financial services and digital, and AI-related capabilities, you will be responsible for the overall management and growth of the business unit.
The role carries broad responsibility across organizational leadership, P&L management, business development, and strategic consulting, with a particular focus on global markets, new business creation, and emerging technologies.
You will work closely with senior executives and business leaders, leading engagements from top-level strategy formulation through business development, digital transformation, and organizational and talent management.
Key Responsibilities
- Take executive responsibility for the Business Strategy, Cross-Industry Finance, and AI Excellence units.
- Develop overall business strategies and manage P&L performance, organizational growth, team development, and talent management across the assigned units.
- Lead the planning and development of AI/IoT solutions for manufacturing, IT, and financial services markets.
- Oversee new business development and the launch of digital payment products and services.
- Lead large-scale global digital transformation initiatives and corporate and business strategy development.
- Take executive ownership of industry-academia collaboration projects.
- Lead senior-level consulting engagements across digital payments, FinTech, AI, and global business development.
- Direct strategic initiatives utilizing digital ecosystems, UPI stacks, and related capabilities in international markets, including the United States and Asia.
- Drive cross-industry initiatives that combine business strategy, finance, AI, data, and digital technologies.
- Build and develop the organization while expanding the firm's consulting capabilities and business opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Proven leadership experience in AI/IoT solution development, new business creation, or digital service launches within manufacturing, technology, financial services, or related industries
- Extensive experience in global business development, corporate and business strategy, and large-scale digital transformation
- Senior-level leadership experience within a consulting firm or operating company, including responsibility as a Business Unit Head, Managing Director, Executive Officer, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience managing P&L and leading sizeable organizations
Soft Skills:
- Deep understanding of Japanese business practices and the Japanese market.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Executive leadership skills with the ability to manage organizations, develop talent, and drive business performance.
- Ability to operate across industries and align business, technology, and strategic priorities.
- Strong ability to lead complex global and cross-functional initiatives.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Intermediate to Business level.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Deep expertise spanning both business and corporate strategy and the underlying technology across FinTech and AI
- Proven track record in digital services, financial technology, platform businesses, or related fields across North American and Asian markets
- Experience leading cross-industry initiatives and collaborative projects involving corporations, universities, and research institutions
- MBA or equivalent advanced business degree
