Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fixed Income Settlements Associate to join the Operations team at a global bank in Tokyo
Roles/Responsibilities
- This role is ideal for a junior operations professional who wants to work in a very global and dynamic environment, with good exposure to the business and good opportunities for internal mobility.
- You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of fixed income transactions, supporting our trading and sales teams, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
- Manage the end-to-end settlement process for fixed income products, including bonds, repos, and money market instruments.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any settlement issues promptly.
- Monitor and reconcile settlement discrepancies, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Liaise with custodians, clearing houses, and counterparties to facilitate smooth settlement processes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of settlement processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Required skills
- Minimum of 5 years' experience of settlement processes within Investment Banking Operations.
- Fluency in Japanese and English.
Preferred skills
- Experience of Fixed Income products, like JGB, corporate bonds, Repo and FX.
