You will be responsible for originating and executing Debt Capital Markets transactions, supporting institutional clients, and delivering strategic financing solutions in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Debt Capital Markets (DCM) transactions for institutional clients in Japan.
- Support the origination, structuring, and execution of bond issuance and debt financing mandates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Japanese financial institutions and key stakeholders.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, financial analyses, and transaction documentation.
- Coordinate closely with internal product teams, syndicate, sales, trading, legal, and compliance teams to ensure successful transaction execution.
- Monitor capital markets, interest rate movements, and industry trends to identify client opportunities.
- Support senior bankers in developing new business opportunities and strengthening client relationships.
- Deliver high-quality execution while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) experience within an investment bank in Japan.
- Proven experience executing debt capital markets transactions and financing mandates.
- Strong understanding of bond markets, debt financing products, and capital markets.
- Experience working with Japanese institutional clients.
- Strong financial analysis, transaction execution, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple live transactions simultaneously.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- CFA or other relevant financial qualifications are advantageous.
