This position covers M&A advisory, corporate and business valuation, deal structuring, and financial modelling, providing the opportunity to develop comprehensive transaction expertise. Depending on your experience and seniority, you will contribute to or lead sophisticated M&A engagements while working alongside experienced transaction professionals and developing your expertise within a major global professional services platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide M&A advisory services across domestic and international transactions.
- Support the execution of M&A transactions and advise clients throughout relevant stages of the deal process.
- Conduct corporate and business valuations to support M&A transactions and strategic decision-making.
- Perform valuation work involving movable assets, intangible assets, and other transaction-related assets.
- Support the development and assessment of appropriate M&A transaction structures.
- Build and analyse detailed financial models for M&A and related transactions.
- Apply financial analysis, valuation, and modelling expertise to complex transaction scenarios.
- Collaborate with internal specialists and client stakeholders to progress M&A engagements effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Professional experience at an investment bank, securities firm, bank, accounting advisory firm, strategy consulting firm, audit firm, tax advisory firm, or an operating company
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: M&A, valuation, financial due diligence (FDD), M&A-related consulting, business planning, investment screening, audit, tax advisory, or financial modeling
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Business-level English proficiency and proficiency in Windows applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Candidates who wish to be considered for Senior Associate or Manager level should have at least 5 years of professional experience in M&A transaction execution, corporate/business valuation, or infrastructure-related financial modeling.
- This position is also well suited to professionals who wish to leverage experience in audit, FDD, valuation, or related areas and transition their careers into M&A advisory.

- Japanese: Fluent

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Professional qualifications such as Japanese CPA, US CPA, Certified Tax Accountant, Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan, or MBA.
- More than 5 years of hands-on experience in M&A transaction execution.
- More than 5 years of experience in corporate or business valuation.
- More than 5 years of experience in infrastructure financial modelling.
- Strong experience in valuation, FDD, financial modelling, or audit combined with a clear interest in developing a career in M&A advisory.
