Our client, a leading global technology consultancy with over a century of innovation, is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to lead the modernization of legacy infrastructure into scalable, cloud-native AWS solutions. This role offers the opportunity to design and implement secure, compliant cloud systems in collaboration with a multinational team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of legacy on-premise systems to modern AWS cloud-native architecture
- Oversee the full cloud migration lifecycle: system analysis, AWS landing zone design, migration execution, and maintenance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and proofs of concept
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure internal knowledge sharing standards are upheld
- Ensure cloud architecture adheres to regulatory compliance and security standards
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS architecture and cloud delivery
- Proven expertise in on-premise to cloud migration projects
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM), cloud-native system design (networks, IAM, storage, security)
- Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Business fluency (mandatory)
- English: Conversational level preferred
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and consulting abilities to guide teams and influence best practices
- Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipeline development
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect) are a strong plus
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and cloud security compliance
