We are seeking an Associate Director, Supply Chain to play a pivotal role in leading new product introduction (NPI) and supply chain planning for Japan. This position directly supports strategic initiatives and ensures compliant, efficient, and innovative supply chain operations. You will work cross-functionally, shaping launch readiness and driving improvements across a global network.
Key Responsibilities
- Take direct ownership of new product introduction and end-to-end supply chain planning for Japan.
- Lead cross-functional supply chain projects within Japan OPS.
- Manage new product launch readiness, ensuring on-time execution for milestones.
- Monitor and analyze demand forecasts vs. supply performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Oversee adherence to GDP and compliance requirements.
- Drive strategic initiatives and manage projects assigned by the Supply Chain Director.
- Support SKU creation, SAP setup, artwork management, and financial flows.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Strong background in pharmaceutical supply chain, CMC, or PDCS.
- Proven track record in product launches within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Expertise in supply chain planning and cross-functional leadership.
- Skilled at stakeholder negotiation and multitasking in complex environments.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to lead change, take initiative, and drive process improvement.
- Effective project management and problem-solving abilities.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
- Experience in process improvement methodologies.
