Based in Aizu, Fukushima, you will focus on semiconductor front-end process engineering, using SPC, process data, statistical analysis, and experimental methods to improve product quality, manufacturing yield, productivity, and cost competitiveness.
You will also collaborate with manufacturing, design, development, equipment, materials, and quality teams to establish new process technologies and successfully transition new semiconductor products and processes into mass production. Key Responsibilities
- Improve semiconductor front-end manufacturing processes, including Diffusion, Implantation, Photo, Etch, CVD, and PVD, to enhance quality, productivity, yield, and cost competitiveness.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to establish new process flows for next-generation power semiconductors and GaN technologies.
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process data analysis to identify manufacturing issues, investigate root causes, formulate hypotheses, and implement improvements.
- Plan experiments for new manufacturing conditions and processes, evaluate results, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.
- Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, design, development, equipment, materials, and quality teams to establish technologies for semiconductor mass production.
- Support the transfer of new semiconductor processes, technologies, and products from development into mass production.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Practical experience in semiconductor front-end processes or semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Experience analyzing, evaluating, and improving semiconductor or relevant manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge and practical understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data-driven problem-solving.
- Experience identifying technical issues, developing hypotheses, designing experiments, analyzing results, and preparing technical reports.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently identify and address technical challenges.
- Logical and analytical thinking with the ability to use data and experimental results to drive process improvements.

- Japanese: Fluent.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with Diffusion, Implantation, Photo, Etch, CVD, or PVD semiconductor processes.
- Experience in mass-production process management, semiconductor process improvement, new product launches, or process development.
- Experience transferring new semiconductor processes or products into mass production.
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, equipment engineering, and quality control teams.
- Strong interest in emerging semiconductor technologies and materials, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and technical problem-solving.
