A leading global automotive technology company is seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Project Lead (Product Delivery Technical Leader) to manage the technical development and delivery of advanced automotive electronics systems in Yokohama.
In this role, you will oversee the technical requirements, engineering specifications, development schedules, and delivery milestones for automotive instrument clusters, audio systems, and infotainment modules.
You will coordinate cross-functional hardware, software, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure that automotive electronic products meet technical specifications, design quality standards, and customer requirements.
Your responsibilities will include systems engineering, product requirements management, design reviews, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), configuration management, and subsystem validation testing.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, define, and manage automotive product development schedules, technical specifications, and engineering delivery milestones.
- Coordinate technical development activities across hardware, software, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical development issues, engineering challenges, and project risks.
- Manage the accurate and timely release of Bills of Materials (BOM) and system design specifications.
- Coordinate design reviews, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and system risk assessment processes to ensure product quality.
- Oversee configuration management activities throughout the automotive electronics development lifecycle.
- Track engineering resources, project development costs, and technical delivery progress.
- Conduct initial hardware and mechatronic subsystem testing to support validation readiness and engineering sign-off.
- Manage non-software engineering work packages across electrical and mechanical development streams.
- Capture, document, and maintain product requirements using engineering requirements management tools.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to align product development activities with customer expectations.
- Support technical discussions and coordination with automotive customers, including on-site meetings when required.
- Ensure engineering activities follow relevant systems engineering methodologies and automotive product development standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated systems engineering experience involving automotive instrument clusters, audio systems, or infotainment systems.
- Practical experience capturing and managing technical product requirements using tools such as IBM DOORS Next Generation (DOORS NG) or Rational Team Concert (RTC).
- Hands-on experience using software flashing or programming tools, such as Mycanic, Cyclone Pro, or FP5 programmers.
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering principles.
- Understanding of System-V engineering models and structured product development methodologies.
- Ability to manage technical specifications, engineering documentation, and product development requirements.
