Payroll Manager

Job Description

An Asian tech holdings company is looking for a payroll expert to join their rapidly expanding business in Tokyo.


  • The selected candidate shall primarily be responsible for leading and managing the payroll team to implement and deliver efficient HR services to employees, such as those related to various allowances, social and health insurance, etc.
  • Communicate and coordinate with external vendors to ensure a smooth payroll process.
  • Address and manage all issues related to relevant matters according to existing laws and directives.
  • Perform advisory functions for other teams as per request.

Required skills

  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an HR payroll position.
  • Familiarity with Japan's labor laws, and directives, and compensatory regulations.
  • Fluent in Japanese and business English.

Preferred skills

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence.
  • Proven leadership qualities.
