Position: Senior Consultant - Transformation
Location: Melbourne (Hybrid: 3 days on-site)
Initial Duration: 1st week of June - 31st July, with a view to move to longer term contract for the delivery phase
We are seeking a heavyweight, highly autonomous Senior Consultant - Transformation to spearhead the critical review and bottom-up re-set of a large-scale enterprise transformation program.
This is a two-phased engagement. Initially, you will operate in a strategic advisory capacity, conducting a rapid diagnostic of the current state, defining priorities, and designing the future roadmap. For the right candidate, this will transition into a long-term execution role, where you will own and deliver the very initiatives you have shaped.
In this role, you will be entirely accountable for shaping the design and structure of the program. Your initial focus will center on:
Program Diagnostic & Review: Assess the current state of the large-scale transformation program. Identify bottlenecks, evaluate where the program is lagging, and determine immediate priorities.
Strategic Re-set & Design: Re-architect the program from the bottom-up. Establish robust frameworks, optimize mobilization strategies, and redefine ways of working and technology alignment.
Stakeholder Engagement & Elicitation: Partner closely with executive-level stakeholders to elicit complex business requirements, manage expectations, and align on desired outcomes.
Roadmapping & Prioritization: Restructure the program portfolio. Facilitate rigorous prioritization frameworks to determine what the new initiatives need to be, when they should launch, and what solutions must be delivered.
Recommendations: Present clear, data-driven recommendations and a finalized strategic roadmap to the executive steering committee.
We need a "shaper" who can operate with a high degree of ambiguity and take total ownership.
Seniority & Autonomy: Proven track record operating at a Senior Consultant or Advisory level, ideally from a Consulting background. You are comfortable working completely independently.
Transformation Expertise: Deep experience reviewing, rescuing, or resetting troubled, large-scale enterprise transformation programs (incorporating people, process, and technology).
Executive Presence: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and advise C-suite and executive leaders.
Strategic Architecture: Strong capability in designing program frameworks, operating models, and roadmaps from scratch.
Delivery Acumen: While the start is strategic, you possess the delivery grit required to transition into the execution phase later this year.
High Impact: You will have the mandate to completely reshape a major program from the ground up.
Longevity: A seamless bridge from a short-term advisory piece into a multi-month/year delivery pipeline.
