We are seeking a hands-on Technical Project Manager to lead the management of complex Workday integrations at one of our clients who are a leading organisation in the higher education sector. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of technology, data, and business processes in a higher education environment, where multiple legacy systems are being consolidated into Workday.
The role is highly technical, requiring a deep understanding of integrations, data, and cross-platform dependencies. You will work closely with platform owners, Deloitte, and the integration team to ensure delivery runs smoothly and risks are proactively managed.
Manage complex integrations: Oversee the delivery of Workday integrations across ~35 platforms, many built on Oracle, ensuring end-to-end alignment and resolving technical gaps.
Hands-on technical oversight: Understand integrations and data flows well enough to identify issues early, challenge solutions when needed, and keep delivery moving when progress stalls.
Risk and issue management: Actively manage technical risk, data alignment, and cross-platform dependencies to ensure integration works as intended in practice, not just on paper.
Collaboration & stakeholder management: Work directly with internal platform owners, external consultants (e.g., Deloitte), and integration teams to troubleshoot blockers and make practical decisions.
Workday/HCM expertise: Leverage your experience with Workday or broader HCM systems to navigate the differences between legacy platforms and Workday's data and process structure.
Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Technical Delivery Manager in complex enterprise programs
Hands-on experience with Workday integrations or comparable HCM platforms
Strong understanding of data mapping, transformations, and reconciliation
Comfortable engaging with technical teams and asking detailed questions to resolve blockers
Experience working in higher education or regulated environments is highly desirable
Strong communication and governance skills, with the ability to drive decisions and maintain delivery momentum
This position exists to stabilize and align complex Workday integrations, ensuring that data, processes, and systems work together effectively. Your work will directly influence the reliability, efficiency, and usability of Workday for the university, helping stakeholders across multiple campuses achieve their goals.
