Fantastic opportunity for an certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Business Process Improvement Lead to drive the end-to-end improvement of a program of work focusing on procurement within a well-known government corporation.
This role will be part of the Process Improvement Delivery Team, which exists to bring process improvement rigor, methods, & tools to strategic priority areas and process improvements initiatives in the Procurement area with heavy focus on the R2P process.
Initial contract is for 12 months, with high likelihood to extend
Rate is up to $1200 per day inclusive of super.
Main location assignment is in Parramatta, and will follow a hybrid work set up - 1 day in the office weekly.
About the Job:
- Lead/ Drive improvement project teams in the Procurement Program to deliver significant & measurable process improvement benefits
- Facilitate and manage multiple work streams that drives improvement to the performance metric
- Prepare progress reports/presentations at the appropriate forums to demonstrate tangible progress and outcomes
- Lead the facilitation of sessions to identify data-led improvement opportunities
- Help teams develop capability to apply continuous improvement in an agile manner, planning and coordination activities to enable the team to work collaboratively
- The role is responsible for identifying system improvements and solution
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in business, engineering or related field, or experience deemed equivalent.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt with experience in managing complex projects and leading programs of work.
- Ideally 7+ years' experience in process improvement (Lean Six sigma - including DMAIC & PDSA, SIPOC tool) and transformational projects, ideally within Procurement/Supply Chain environments, work processes and systems in a large organisation
- Strong analytical/ statistical analysis skills, including the understanding and ability to set up valid and reliable process measurement - use of process statistical tools
- Advanced ability to successfully apply improvement project management tools in an agile manner
- Experience and high level skills in coaching, mentoring and communication
- Has worked across finance and accounts payable preferably, since program of work is around procurement
