Join a growing independent M&A advisory firm as an M&A Banker in Tokyo, working on high-profile transactions for large corporates and listed companies.
This role offers full exposure across the entire M&A lifecycle, including origination, execution, and closing. You will be involved in a wide range of transactions such as business restructuring, privatizations, and private equity acquisitions/exits, making it an excellent opportunity to build deep expertise in corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver M&A advisory services to large corporates and listed companies
- Execute transactions including M&A, restructuring, privatizations, and PE deals
- Lead deal processes from origination through execution to closing
- Develop transaction structures aligned with client growth strategies
- Prepare financial analysis, presentations, and client proposals
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive successful deal execution
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience in M&A execution or sector coverage within investment banking
- Experience in M&A advisory within FAS, M&A boutiques (FA side), or private equity
- Proven track record of working on multiple M&A transactions
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and deal processes
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and ownership mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- High level of communication and interpersonal abilities
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in large-cap or cross-border M&A transactions
- Exposure to private equity investments or exits
