Join a growing independent M&A advisory firm as an M&A Advisor in Tokyo, supporting small and mid-sized enterprise (SME) owners with business succession and growth strategies through M&A.
This role offers end-to-end exposure across the full M&A lifecycle, from deal origination to execution and closing. You will work directly with business owners, helping them unlock value and achieve strategic objectives through tailored M&A solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise business owners on M&A-driven business succession and growth strategies
- Source new clients and originate M&A deal opportunities
- Support matching between sellers and buyers and assist in negotiations
- Lead advisory processes from proposal through to deal completion
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Drive deal execution and ensure successful transaction outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 1+ year of sales experience in financial services (banking, securities, insurance) with strong performance
- OR qualification as a CPA or lawyer with interest in client-facing advisory roles
- OR proven track record as a top sales performer in industries such as manufacturing, trading, real estate, SaaS, or consulting
- Strong experience in corporate sales and client relationship management
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive mindset
- Strong persistence and ability to achieve results in a target-driven environment
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Basic level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in M&A advisory or corporate finance
