This role covers governance, compliance, and innovation in IP workflows for fast-growing mobile and cloud-native telecom businesses. You will collaborate with engineers, executives, and international teams to drive automation and influence next-generation IP frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and optimize IP management systems, integrating automation, RPA, and AI.
- Conduct IP landscape analyses and prepare executive-level strategy reports.
- Build and manage OSS compliance frameworks, including reviews and training.
- Develop and enforce governance policies across global IP operations.
- Oversee SEP tracking, reporting, and cross-functional IP projects.
- Supervise international patent filings and documentation processes.
- Provide leadership across multiple workstreams, collaborating with global stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years in IP management at a law firm or corporate IP department.
- Strong communication skills with proven experience in global collaboration.
Languages:
- Business-level English (TOEIC 800+ or higher) and Japanese.
Soft Skills:
- Innovative problem solver with a process-driven mindset; collaborative leader in dynamic environments.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Business-level proficiency (for local compliance and communication).
- English: Fluent, with strong presentation and report-writing skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building or improving IP workflows and systems.
- IP Management Skills Test Level 2+ certification.
- Work or study experience in international environments.
