A leading global investment bank is seeking a Head of FIG RM to manage relationship coverage for financial institution clients across Japan. This senior leadership role focuses on deepening client relationships, driving revenue opportunities, and expanding business across FICC products. As a Director-level position, you will oversee strategic engagement with banks, insurers, asset managers, and other financial institutions while collaborating closely with global markets teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage relationship coverage for Financial Institutions Group (FIG) clients in Japan.
- Develop and execute strategic client plans to drive revenue growth across FICC products and solutions.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers at banks, insurance companies, and asset managers.
- Partner with global sales, trading, and product teams to deliver comprehensive financial markets solutions.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and ensure high-quality client service delivery.
- Represent the firm in high-level meetings, negotiations, and industry discussions.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of Fixed Income Sales or FIG RM experience within an investment bank in Japan.
- Proven track record of managing institutional relationships and delivering FICC solutions.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership presence and ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify business opportunities.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level (written and spoken).
- English: Business level.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in senior RM leadership or FIG coverage management.
- Strong knowledge of global markets, fixed income, and regulatory environments.
