Roles/Responsibilities
- Define, initiate, and scope projects within the Data Governance Office.
- Ensure stakeholder alignment on project scope, requirements, and documentation throughout the lifecycle.
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies while maintaining minimal business impact.
- Collaborate with legal, privacy, and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements for data retention.
- Support the successful delivery of the Data Retention Program by working closely with business and system teams.
Required skills
- 3+ years of project management or business analysis experience in IT or governance.
- Proven ability to scope, plan, and prioritize complex IT projects.
- Proficient in project management practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Strong independent work ethic, proactive problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English (TOEIC 800+).
Preferred skills
- Project Management certification (PMP, Prince 2, Scrum Alliance).
- Experience in business analysis, information security, privacy, or data governance.
- Knowledge of data retention/deletion policies and practices.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
